An e-shopping extravaganza is kicking off this month to encourage more people to buy online.

The Internet Shopping Campaign, launched by industry body Interactive Media in Retail Group (imrg), will climax on 24 July (24/7) to reinforce the message that internet shopping is available around the clock seven days a week.

More than £4m worth of prizes, offers and discounts are up for grabs form e-tailers taking part such Boots, Marks & Spencer and Homebase.

The campaign will focus on winning the trust of the 18m adult surfers in the UK who have never shopped online by reinforcing safe shopping through tips, guidelines and practical help.

But seasoned online buyers shouldn't miss out as everyone can take advantage of all the available offers - not just e-shopping virgins.

A dedicated site, http://24x7.imrg.org, will hold the shopping offers, promotions, and campaign news.
