eBay users bid for nothing

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to own nothing, now's your chance at eBay.

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to own nothing, now's your chance. One eBay user is accepting bids for 'nothing - not even a pound coin'.

So far, 19 silly surfers have bid for the lot, with the highest bid currently standing at £51 - which goes to show whoever said "nothing ventured, nothing gained" was wrong.

The description outlines what the successful bidder will be getting his or hands on - 'nothing like anything you have ever seen'.

Reassuringly, it looks like a genuine offer as the seller, bustorboom says: "Some sellers have tried to trick buyers into buying nothing. This is not my goal."

Bustorboom has answered questions from several interested parties including detailing nothing's dimensions - 0/0/0. Understandably, there is no photo, packaging, handling or postal costs.

In response to the query, "I have never bought anything from eBay and this sounds similar to nothing, would you accept a cheque made from rubber?" - "Only if it doesn't bounce," said bustorboom.

Don't despair if you can't afford to top the highest bid - there's also 'Nothing for Sale' elsewhere on the site, currently available for £1. But hurry you only have until 4pm today.
