WHSmith is now offering to deliver your online order to more than 500 of its high-street stores across the UK for free.
According to a survey by WHSmith, 64 per cent of its shoppers said cheaper delivery costs would encourage them to use the shop's online service more.
The new service, says WHSmith, will mean customers can select products, pay for them and choose a delivery service that is the most convenient for them.
Once you've placed your order online, you'll receive an email instructing you to phone your selected store between 2-5 days later to confirm that your order has arrived and then you pick it up.
The cost of getting an item from WHSmith.co.uk delivered to your home is made up of two elements: a single parcel price for your order and an additional item price for each product in your order.
To get a book delivered to you will cost £2.49 plus 50p per book, CDs cost £1.25 plus 50p per CD.
Steve Heald, trading director at WHSmith, said: "We want to ensure our customers have the easiest way of shopping available, the free delivery means they don't necessarily have to wait at home for a delivery. This is a service which can't be matched by the likes of Amazon."
WHSmith's recent offer of free delivery on orders over £39 has come to an end.
