Aging crooners the Rolling Stones are finally giving their fans satisfaction by offering tracks for download via the internet.

For the first time, fans can legally download songs from the Rolling Stones' back catalogue including Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street and Some Girls.

The recordings are available for streaming and as individual tracks via online jukebox service Rhapsody, part of the RealOne service, until the end of August.

After this, the tracks will be available from other legal online music sites through EMI's digital distribution programme.

You can download and stream 18 classic albums and hundreds of individual tracks released by the famous band since 1971 including Start Me Up, Beast of Burden and Angie, with a monthly subscription of $9.95 (£6.25).

David Munns, chairman and chief operating officer of EMI Music North America, said: "We're pleased that music fans will be able to listen to and buy The Rolling Stones' EMI catalogue through Rhapsody."

"Being able to offer... digital access to The Rolling Stones catalogue.. on our website is an incredible way for us to demonstrate to our customers all the great possibilities that digital music holds," added Munns.
