As Tony Blair gave evidence to the Hutton inquiry this morning, web users were queuing up online to find further information on the investigation.
Traffic measurement company Hitwise reports that the official Hutton Inquiry website is currently the most visited political website in the UK.
According to Hitwise statistics, traffic to the site has soared since the inquiry into the death of government scientist Dr David Kelly, the source for the BBC report about intelligence, officially began.
The site attracted 27 per cent of all traffic to the Hitwise politics category on Sunday, up 17 per cent from the week before.
The Hutton Inquiry site is visited more than other political websites, including Guardian Unlimited Politics and YouGov, with 14 per cent of web users bookmarking the site.
It offers around 6,000 pages of evidence including emails, notes and memos and has published sensitive documents surrounding the affair.
Last week private BBC emails detailing confidential dealings with external sources were published, raising issues into the privacy of emails.
The Prime Minister's appearance and that of the chairman of the BBC are expected to drive traffic to the Hutton Inquiry site even more, Hitwise reports.
