AOL has launched a new tool to help parents keep their children safe while surfing online.
Called AOL Guardian, the parental control tool lets parents get a detailed report of their child's online activities.
With AOL Guardian, parents (or the master screen name holder) receive an email detailing the online activity of the screen names they have set up for their children such as Kids Only, Young Teens or Mature Teens.
Parents receive an email after their child's session detailing their online activities, including a list of websites visited, number of people emailed and number of instant messages that were sent and received while online.
The launch of AOL Guardian follows Telewest's announcement last week that it had teamed up with children's internet charity Childnet International to educate its customers about protecting children online.
