BBCi is launching an interactive online murder mystery game, asking web users: who did murder Marilyn Spencer?

The game, which will start on 13 October at the BBC Oxford website, is set at Oxford University in early Spring.

A young talented female student, Marilyn Spencer, has been murdered and there are five clues and five suspects. The clues are made up of video evidence, 360° camera angles, coroner reports and statements.

Each Monday, a new clue will appear on the BBC Oxford website until the 5th week, where you will have to prove your sleuthing skills and cast your vote on who did it.

Players stand the chance of winning the complete DVD box set of the Inspector Morse series or a night at the world famous Randolf Hotel.

"Oxford is a perfect back-drop for a murder mystery," said Neil Bennett, assistant editor at BBC Oxford. "We know Oxford has a great literary tradition and we're hoping this web drama will inspire other people, in our area, to come up with ideas they would like to see realised by the BBC Oxford website."
