Flash mobbers prepare to taunt Blaine

Hundreds of people are expected to gather under David Blaine's Perspex box this evening, in what could be London's biggest-ever flash mob. The act of flash mobbing is when the internet is used to organise an unexpected mob of people to gather in one place to perform an act of non-violent surrealism. Organisers of the Flash Blaine event want participants to meet on the South Bank by Tower Bridge, next to the burger van at 7.44pm. The flash mobbers will then chant "what goes up, must come down" to Blaine, as the US magician enters the final week of his starvation stunt, before laughing manically while holding a piece of food in the air. According to organisers, the flashblaine.co.uk website is attracting one visitor every five seconds and has received over 17,500 hits. Peter Bowles, one of the organisers of Flash Blaine, told Web User: "I think we'll get quite a few people down there tonight.
