 Friends Reunited

Popular reunion site Friends Reunited has launched a new service to help web users find their soul mates online.

Friends Reunited Dating is aimed at "genuine people who haven't used dating before".

According to Friends Reunited, an increasing number of its nine million members have urged the site to help them find new friends as well as old ones.

"Our age profile is also an advantage with six million members in their 20s and 30s and three million over 40," said a spokeswoman at Friends Reunited.

It is free to register your profile with Friends Reunited Dating but you have to pay £7.50 per month to use the dating service that lets you search for people in your area.

In September, Telewest Blueyonder teamed up with speed dating company SpeedDater to host the UK's first online broadband dating event in a London bar.
