Brightview - the company behind net brands including Totalise and Madasafish - has relaunched its Freenetname ISP with a choice of new broadband and dial-up packages.

The new-look service also lets you create your "own online identity" by providing all customers with a personal email and web address.

Freenetname's broadband package now costs £24 a month (down from £29.99) with free activation. The unmetered Anytime service is down from £14.99 a month to £12.50.

According to Freenetname, it is different to other ISPs because its members can personalise their own email and web addresses, for example, webuser@webuser.me.uk

David Laurie, chief executive at Brightview, told Web User: "The main ISPs do not let you personalise your own email address as they attach a huge value to their own brand. With our personalised addresses you are selling yourself rather than adding value to a brand."

A new service, called Freenetname Justmail, lets users with an anytime or broadband connection with another ISP send and receive email and register a personalised email and website address.

Justmail, which includes webmail and 50MB mailbox storage, costs £2.50 per month. Domain names on offer include .co.uk, org.uk and .me.uk.

Other services with freenetname include 24x7 technical support, 20MB webspace and access to over 65,000 newsgroups. The ISP said it also plans to launch 1Mb and 2Mb broadband packages in the coming months.
