Amstrad has slashed the cost of its e-m@iler digital telephone for the second year running.
The e-m@iler, which offers emails, faxes, digital voicemail, 700 name contact book and SMS text messaging, now costs £29.99 instead of £49.99.
In January 2003, Amstrad cut the cost of its e-m@iler - which launched in 2000 - from £99.99 to £49.99. The company sold 130,000 em@ilers during the year 2002 to 2003, bringing the total number of devices sold to more than 250,000.
Simon Sugar, commercial director at Amstrad, said: "The e-m@iler price cut represents a real commitment from Amstrad not only to get Britain emailing, but also to get people surfing the net."
"The product is accessible, compact and easy to use, meaning that anyone can enjoy the benefits of being online. Staying in touch has never been so easy," added Mr Sugar.
