You could follow in the footsteps of Marty McFly, Dr Emmett Brown and Biff Tannen and drive the world’s most famous time machine after visiting eBay.
A converted DeLorean, a painstaking replica of the models used in the Back To The Future trilogy, is currently attracting a bid of $16,650 at the auction site.
According to the seller, the car is a culmination of five years of research to ensure the vehicle is a perfect recreation of the film’s unique prop.
Everything from the “time circuits” to the “flux capacitor”, the propulsion unit which permits time-travel in the film, has been crafted with what appears to be an obsessive desire for authentication.
Strangely, this modified version of a rare DeLorean is poised to sell for more on eBay than models that haven’t been tampered with.
Unfortunately, only US fans of the film trilogy can bid for the car, and the winning bidder will not receive either plutonium to power it or instructions on how to generate the 1.21 jiggawatts needed for time travel.
