Eurovision

Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place on Saturday in Istanbul, can watch the event live on the internet.

Twenty-four countries are set to take part in the 49th Eurovision, including the UK's James Fox who will perform Hold On To Our Love.

But if the cynicism of TV presenter Terry Wogan is too much for die-hard Eurovision fans, you can also tune into the Tiscali website which, like BBC 1, will screen the proceedings live and free.

Following an agreement with the European Broadcasting Union, Tiscali will transmit a webcast of both the two-hour semi-final and three-hour final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, live from Istanbul on 12 May and 15 at 8pm.

Internet users will also be able to see exclusive backstage images and watch a previously unreleased video of the famous Swedish group, which will be premiered online by Tiscali.

According to Tiscali, the webcast confirms its position "as the ideal internet partner for the streaming of top quality audio and video events thanks to its special Content Delivery Network”.
