NTL has launched a new service tool designed to let its broadband internet customers diagnose and fix their internet and email problems.
The downloadable Broadband Medic self-help tool includes online tutorials and automatic repair of many common problems.
If Broadband Medic cannot fix the problem customers can contact an NTL technical advisor via an online chat tool - the advisor will also use a ‘Health Check’ page detailing a customer’s internet settings.
Peter Wilcock, managing director of NTL’s customer operations and business improvement division, said: "The introduction of Broadband Medic is just the latest in a series of improvements planned for ntl customers."
"Our aim is to continue to bring innovative, cutting edge developments to our broadband customers so they can enjoy the highest standards of service available."
NTL broadband customers can download Broadband Medic via www.ntlworld.com/help/broadbandmedic. It is not available for Mac users.
