Broadband users will be able to watch free footage of matches in the Football Conference via the internet next season. Production company In The Box Media has secured a three-year rights deal with the Football Conference to publish 300 matches for free via broadband. In The Box Media will use BT’s digital and content platform BT Rich Media to offers football fans a selection of streamed live coverage, match highlights and interviews featuring players, managers and fans. The service, which launches next season, will let football fans vote each week on which matches will be featured on the site over the coming weeks. Andy Brown, chief executive officer of BT Rich Media, said: “This is a very exciting development for both sport and the internet. Broadband opens the doors for users to experience archived and live content when they want it.”
