Email users can no longer pretend they didn't receive a message, with the launch of a new tool that can tell senders if their messages have been read. US company Rampell Software claims its DidTheyReadIt tool can tell you when, how many times and how long the email you sent was read. According to Rampell Software, you are automatically notified the instant the recipient opens your message and the tool can also report where exactly the reader is located and if the email you sent was forwarded to another person. The company also claims that the new tool, which is invisible to the recipient, will help students who are looking for jobs, people using auction sites and business people who want to make sure important emails have been received. DidTheyReadIt is available to download online and is priced at $24.99 (£13.84)for three months, $39.99 (£22.15) for six months and $49.99 (£27.69) for a year, with a free trial limited to five messages.
