UK Online has followed BT’s decision to cut its broadband prices today by lowering the price of its 512Kbps broadband service.

The ISP, which will drop the monthly price from £27.99 to £24.99, said the move follows several price cuts by other consumer ISPs in the UK.

BT has cut its broadband prices by 25 per cent, while One.Tel recently dropped the cost of its 512Kbps broadband package from £27.99 a month to £23.99.

Chris Stening, UK Online's brand manager, said: "We are very happy to be offering this price reduction in our service and recent research shows that eight out of ten UK Online customers would recommend UK Online to their friends or colleagues.”

“With this new offer, not only will our customers be getting money off but they get the same all round great customer service that they've come to expect."

Broadband from UK Online has no activation fee and offers a choice of modems - £29.99 for Broadband Modem or £89.99 for a Wireless Ethernet Router.
