BT offers free UK net calls

BT is offering a summer special including free UK calls for three months to all new customers who sign up to the BT Communicator with Yahoo Messenger.

The software package which combines voice services over the web with Yahoo's instant messaging can be downloaded for free over the internet or you can order a CD.

The offer, open from 16 May until 30 June, will let customers talk for free when connecting with others PC to PC, call free from their PC to UK landlines for three months and make calls to mobiles or international destinations from their computers for the same cost as a phone call on the BT Together fixed line phone package.

The first 10,000 off the starting block will also get a free headset.

Gavin Patterson, BT group managing director of the BT Consumer division, said: "BT Communicator is one of the most exciting communication products available - allowing customers to easily switch between email, instant messaging, texting and calling. We hope this offer will encourage people to try BT Communicator with Yahoo Messenger."
