Mobile phone iPods on the way?

Apple looks set to enter the mobile phone market with a new version of the iPod. According to industry rumours, Apple has teamed up with handset company Motorola and Cingular Wireless, the mobile service provider. It is reported that Iggy Pop and Madonna have been filming advertisements for the devices which maybe launched as soon as next week. Apple has issued invitations for a press conference and hinted the brand was to launch a product that would cause as much of an impact as the iPod. According industry insiders, the first iPod phone will be available in two models, with either 512MB or 1GB of storage. It is believed the handset series will be called "Rokr".
