The Massachusetts 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to nine counts of juvenile delinquency.

As well as charges relating to hacking into internet and telephone service providers, he was also charged with making bomb threats to high schools in Florida and Massachusetts.

While in custody and during two years of supervised release, the teenager is banned from owning or using a computer, cellphone or other equipment capable of accessing the internet.

In February the boy posted celebrity phone numbers stored in Hilton's cellphone online.
