Gamblers prefer online gaming to pub


UK gamblers would rather gamble online than go to the pub to have a pint, a new survey reveals.



UK gamblers would rather gamble online than go to the pub to have a pint, a new survey reveals.

Thirty eight per cent of online gamblers would give up TV to play online while 19 per cent of them said that they would give up a drink in the pub.

Nine per cent of casino and online poker players said that they would like to quit their jobs to play online professionally.

According to the survey of online poker and casino players from InterCasino, 15 per cent of respondents said that they play online wearing underwear or naked.

Approximately 375,000 UK gamblers play for over ten hours a week, with just 3 per cent playing online during office hours.

More than 1.5 million internet users visit UK online casino websites per month.

The most popular game is Texas Hold 'Em Poker, followed by Blackjack, Roulette and other Poker, the survey found.
