Microsoft has offered more clues about its new pocket-PC and media player on a teaser website.

As we wrote on Monday, the internet is buzzing with rumours about the new Microsoft product – believed to be a pocket-PC the size of a paperback book that also incorporates a games console, media player and a GPS device.

While the updates to the Project Origami website don’t give much away – the description of a device that can be used anywhere fits the rumours.

A video has also been leaked onto the web that shows people using a touch-screen media device.

A Microsoft spokesperson told Web User: “While Origami is a concept we've been working on with partners, please know that the video … is a year old and represents our initial exploration into this form factor, including possible uses and scenarios.”

More information will be released on the site next Thursday.

Yesterday Apple released two new products, a hi-fi system you can plug an iPod into and a new Mac mini that runs on Intel processors.
