Mobile phone company Orange is set to offer free broadband when it merges with Wanadoo next week, it is rumoured.
The deal will be offered to people who sign up for long-term mobile contracts, and will also include cheap fixed-line calls, according to The Guardian newspaper.
Wanadoo is due to make an announcement next Tuesday, and a spokesman told Web User: “Despite reports in the media, Orange has not confirmed the details of its new broadband offer.
“We will be announcing details of new services next week and look forward to giving you more information then.”
Last month Carphone Warehouse introduced ‘free’ broadband for those customers who signed up to their home call packages.
Wanadoo announced its intention to adopt the Orange brand last summer. Both companies are owned by France Telecom.
