An online petition has been launched to get a job for the man who accidentally appeared on BBC news as an IT expert.
Last month, Guy Goma, a graduate from the Congo, who was at the BBC for a job interview, was mistakenly questioned on BBC News 24 about the Apple vs Apple court case.
Fans of Mr Goma, who was turned down for the job he was going for, have started an online campaign to get hima position.
The online petition states:“We, the fans of Guy Goma, would like to support Guy's application for a fulltime position within the BBC, following his recent application. Guy was mistakenly interviewed live on TV, rather than sitting the job interview he was in the building to attend. We urge the BBC to give Guy the job he applied for, or a better one.”
According to the site, the petition has received around 3572 signatures and the mailing list is up to 1922 people, with “over 200 emails received this morning alone”.
Goma has also put the blue shirt that he wore during his appearance on BBC News 24 up for auction, with the proceeds to be donated to Oxfam.
The lucky blue shirt was posted for sale on the site with a starting bid of £1 and with the highest bid reaching £115. You have until 27 June to bid.
