Sports fans who aren’t completely worn out by the World Cup can now turn their attention to following every step of the Tour de France via Google Earth.

A special update to Google Earth uses the application’s satellite imaging to look at terrain covering every part of the race, including the notorious mountain stages.

As well as a 3D tour of each stage, web users will also be able to access race information, including details such as the time of arrival, results, overall race times and the average time of riders.

This year’s tour takes in six different countries and riders will undergo a gruelling 2,261 mile course before reaching the finish in Paris on 23 July.
