New research from gaming site hosting company St Minver revealed that men prefer to use female names when they play bingo because they are worried that people will make fun of them. According to the findings, as Bingo is perceived as a game for ladies, men choose to hide their real identities when playing online, even if they admit enjoying the experience. "We were not surprised to find that men often chose to impersonate women when playing online bingo. Many of our male users believe bingo is a girl’s game but just can’t help playing because they enjoy it so much. I wonder what they talk about in the chat rooms," said Leigh Nissim, managing director of St. Minver (UK). Male gamers also love to use food theme as usernames such as Steak, Crispy, Roganjosh, Poppadom, Pepsi and Pringles, the research reveals.
