Virgin Mobile has joined the ranks of companies offering free broadband to people who sign up to one of their other products.
Virgin Mobile is offering people who join one of Virgin Mobile’s new pay monthly SIM-only tariffs a year’s free up to 8Mbps broadband from Virgin.net.
The pay monthly tariffs are £15 (normally £20) or £30 (normally £32) a month. The broadband service normally costs £17.99 a month.
The free broadband service has a 6GB monthly download allowance, free set-up and a free broadband modem.
Customers have three months to redeem the Virgin.net free broadband offer once they have joined Virgin Mobile.
The offer is open until 31 October and available from Virgin Mobile Stores, selected Virgin Megastores and online
Virgin Mobile’s SIM-only service doesn’t require customers to commit to a long term contract so, as long as a customer stays on the Virgin Mobile SIM-only tariff, the free broadband just keeps coming until the 12 months are up.
If a customer chooses to leave Virgin Mobile, they can decide whether or not to start paying for their broadband service from Virgin.net
TalkTalk, Sky, Orange have also announced free broadband deals.
