Customers that have signed up for ‘free' broadband deals are being let down by their ISPs, a report has revealed.
Orange and Talk Talk, which offer both ‘free' broadband have fallen short in a recent customer survey, with one in three customers not happy with the service provided.
According to the uSwitch Customer Satisfaction Report, overall broadband customer satisfaction levels have dropped by nine per cent in the past six months.
Virgin.net was ranked top ISP with 85 per cent of its customers satisfied with the service they receive.
uSwitch revealed that Plusnet experienced the biggest drop in overall customer satisfaction, with 92 per cent of its customers saying they were happy with the service in March compared only 76 per cent in October.
Steve Weller, head of communications services at uSwitch.com, said: “These results should provide a clear signal that customers are demanding a more comprehensive, sophisticated range of services, and it is becoming more important than ever before for providers to offer value for money in terms of both price and service.”
Back in September, uSwitch warned customers to be cautious about ‘free broadband’ deals as ISPs were using free offers to attract people to subscribe to their other paid-for services.
