Two million spam fighters signed up

There are now more than two million users of Spamfighter, a spam email filter. Spamfighter is a Danish company that provides its technology to both businesses and consumers, and claims to stop 95 per cent of spam reaching the inboxes of those signed up to its service. “It is a step in the right direction in our war against spam, and I am happy to see more email users are joining in the fight to put the spammers out of business,” said Martin Thorborg of Spamfighter. According to figures published recently by messaging firm Postini, up to 91 per cent of all email sent worldwide is spam.
