Get your iPod suited and booted

Now might be a good time to start dropping hints to the kids about what you want for Father's Day.

Now might be a good time to start dropping hints to the kids about what you want for Father's Day, especially if you like to look smart while listening to your favourite artists.

Marks & Spencer will be selling men's suits customised for iPod users that feature a lapel with a five-button control panel. This means your iPod can remain in your pocket while you change track or adjust the volume, for example.

The range of suits, which begin at £149, is made by clothing manufacturer Bagir and uses technology from UK-based Eleksen.

Eleksen has created a touch-sensitive textile called ElekTex, which is lightweight, flexible and durable.

"Marks & Spencer and the iPod are both part of everyday life in Britain. The suit for iPods is an evolution of this, by combining technology and clothing while still maintaining the integrity of both. In the future, this kind of product is going to be even more important as we accommodate more technology in our lives," said Mustafa Dhar, Marks & Spencer suit buyer.

Though the Elektex technology is washable, Web User understands that the suits are dry-clean only.
