The search for the UK internet industry's top performers has begun with the opening of registration for the 2008 ISPA Awards.

The Internet Service Providers Association will be awarding prizes in categories including Best Consumer Broadband, Best Consumer Email and Best Wireless ISP at a ceremony in London in February next year.

There will also be special awards including the Internet Hero and Internet Villain gongs. This will be the tenth time the ISPAs has taken place.

Last year Eclipse Internet won the Best Consumer Broadband prize, Annie Mullins of Vodafone won the Internet Hero award for her efforts to make the internet safer for children, and the EU won the title of Internet Villain.

Registrations must be completed before 31 August.
