If you're looking for buying advice or want to find out more about a certain product a new website aims to become your first port of call.

Best4reviews.com will allow you to access reviews of products such as cameras, laptops, mobile phones and other gadgets for free.

Those who register for the site are also invited to leave their own comments and reviews of the products.

The site is the brainchild of three technology journalists: Doug Harman, Mike O'Connell and Gavin Stoker.

"The internet is now the first and at times only port of call for people wanting advice on what they should buy, to find out whether the product does what it claims, or whether it's worth the asking price," said O'Connell.

Best4reviews.com is an independent site and aims to provide reviews on as wide a range of products as possible.

"There's so much choice available to people, we wanted to make life easier and provide a 'big hit' of leading product advice under the one umbrella," O'Connell said.

Look out for a review of the site in a forthcoming issue of Web User.
