A service that allows you to get answers to burning questions is celebrating its first birthday.
A service that allows you to get answers to burning questions is celebrating its first birthday.
Yahoo Answers has managed to solve 250 million riddles in that time, according to the company - that's seven answers a second since the service was launched.
Some of the quirkiest questions asked include 'why don’t spiders get stuck in their own webs?' and 'hy can’t we tickle ourselves?'.
Salim Mitha from Yahoo! Answers said: "Looking over some of the quirkiest questions from the last 12 months really does demonstrate the breadth and depth of knowledge within the Yahoo! Answers community."
And its not just Joe and Josephine Public who've been using the service - celebrities have been getting into the act as well.
Robert de Niro wanted to know: 'What is the most enthralling secret society of all time and why?', whereas Stephen Hawking tackled a more serious subject in asking 'how can the human race survive the next hundred years?'
"The service continues to see tremendous growth whilst more and more people continue to use it to find the answer to all of their questions, no matter how unique," said Mitha.
Another question-and-answer service, Google Answers, stopped accepting new questions back in December last year.
