Google has integrated YouTube videos into the Google Earth application.
A new YouTube video layer in Google Earth lets you use the application to view visual information about the places you are exploring.
The new layer, which will go live today, lets you see all the related video content about a certain area when you visit it in Google Earth.
For example, if you go to St Paul's Cathedral in London you can see a video of the location filmed from the South Bank of the Thames.
To use the YouTube video layer, you'll need the latest version of Google Earth. Go to the Layers pane in the bottom left hand corner, open the Featured Content option and check the box next to YouTube.
Michael Jones, chief technologist for Google Earth, said: "Our vision here is all about the sense of place. Photos show the local view, but videos add the sense of life. The combination of Earth's "where" with YouTube's "what" makes the experience that much more complete and compelling."
YouTube was bought by Google for £880m last year, and Google has recently used the popular video-sharing site to make information about the company's privacy policy accessible.
