iPod to be top Christmas gift

BT has issued a list of predictions for the top stocking-fillers this Christmas and it looks like Santa will be spending a lot of money at the Apple Store.

iPod Touch

BT has predicted that the newly-launched iPod Touch and the revamped iPod Nano will be the biggest-selling gifts this Christmas.

Laptops will also be popular gifts, as will Halo 3, the recently-released Xbox 360 game.

Not surprisingly, some BT products - namely its digital photo frames and an internet radio - also made it onto the list.

"We're all becoming more digitally demanding – and there is a host of great products on offer this Christmas," Ali Malik, a BT Home IT advisor, explained.

However, BT said that these technologically advanced gifts could baffle some people, with a survey suggesting that only four per cent of people will consult a technical expert if they can't get something working.
