Lastminute team launches new site

If you're looking for inspiration when re-decorating your home, a new website from the founders of Lastminute.com aims to offer you help.

Mydeco.com claims to have developed a powerful search engine, 3D room-planning tools and a thriving online community, including interior design experts, to make it easy to choose furnishings for your home.

Brent Hoberman and Martha Lane Fox, co-founders of Lastminute.com, are both involved in the project.

Hoberman said: "Mydeco helps you get more out of your home. The site uses technology to empower consumers by giving them unrivalled choice, design advice and unique room-planning tools."

There are around 1.5 million products in the Mydeco.com catalogue which is fully searchable and offers you suggestions for products similar to those you search for. Retailers include Argos, John Lewis and Lombok.

The room-designing tools are built on Macromedia's Flash technology, so you won't need to download any special software. You can email and print your designs once completed.
