BBC Three will simultaneously broadcast its programming live on the web from next Tuesday.
And as well as having a major facelift, the channel will have a host of new shows including a futuristic Kung Fu-based drama called Phoo Action.
Another programme aimed at the web generation is Lily Allen and Friends; loosely based on the principles of social networking, Ms Allen will take questions from a panel of her friends and talk to guests such as Peep Show's David Mitchell.
Danny Cohen, controller of BBC Three, said: "I'm delighted to confirm BBC Three's fantastic line-up of new programmes on air from next Tuesday, along with our innovative and exciting approach to television for young audiences.
"BBC Three is aiming to become Britain's most ambitious multi-platform network – combining television and the web into a single, integrated offering," Cohen continued.
The plans to revamp the channel and put programmes online were announced last month though the BBC didn't reveal the specific date.
