Hardy's burial records online

Genealogy website Findmypast.com has added more than a million burial records from the South West of England to its archive.

The National Burial Index on the FindMypast website now contains details of over 11 million burials between the years 1538 and 2005.

The database includes the record of Thomas Hardy, who was buried on 11 January 1928 aged 82 in Stinsford, Dorsetshire.

Records include the full name, date of burial, age of death and the name and district of the parish where burial took place and could provide an invaluable resource for those researching their family tree.

The National Burial Index records can be viewed by buying a 12-month subscription for £90 or on a pay-per-view basis.
