Oscars 2009 winners

Brit Daniel Day-Lewis won the Best Actor accolade for his role in There Will Be Blood and France's Marion Cotillard won the gong for Best Actress for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose. The French Actress was clearly overwhelmed by emotion as she accepted her award.

Best Film went to the western No Country For Old Men, beating British film Atonement. However, there was additional success for Britain with Tilda Swinton winning Best Supporting Actress in Michael Clayton.

The videos of all the winners being interviewed can be seen on the Oscars website, as can trailers of all the nominated films, including Sweeney Todd.

Also check out the style guide at the official Oscars site to see what Hollywood’s leading women have been wearing at the Academy Awards over the past number of years as well as a complete review of the Oscars since its inception in 1928.
