Watch UFC 82 live online

Fans of the Ultimate Fighting Championship can watch all the action from the latest tournament live on the internet this weekend.

UFC 82: Pride of a Champion, headlined by middleweight champion Anderson Silva, will be broadcast live as a pay-per-view event at Yahoo.

It will cost $44.95 (approx £22.65) to watch the live event plus 24 hours of unlimited archive viewing. Yahoo will begin streaming the event at 7pm PST on Saturday 1 March, which is 3am on Sunday 2 March in the UK.

In the US, the UFC is the leading brand within the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) but is looking to expand globally. It is usually broadcast in the UK by Setanta pay-per-view.

Dana White, UFC president, said: "We are looking forward to working with Yahoo Sports to expand our reach and bring the sport of mixed martial arts to fight fans in every corner of the world in every possible language."

Yahoo Sports recently launched a channel dedicated fully to MMA, offering fans access to live streaming of UFC pay-per-view weigh-ins and a wide range of UFC video content.

In UFC 82, Silva will be defending his UFC middleweight crown against Pride champion Dan Henderson. Also appearing on UFC 82's fight card will be Heath 'The Texas Crazy Horse' Herring versus Cheick Kongo and Alessio 'Legionarius' Sakara against Chris 'The Crippler' Leben.
