A documentary about AIDS made by two sisters, aged four and six, has just been made available to watch for free online.
In the new documentary, entitled 'Please Talk to Kids About AIDS', sisters Vineeta and Sevilla Hennessey tackle a range of AIDS experts about the disease.
The producers of the movie, the children's parents, have now made it available to download for free in an attempt to spread their message.
The film features the two girls talking to condom manufacturers, gay activists, a sex-toy saleswoman, a cross-dresser playing Queen Elizabeth II and an Indian transgender – a member of the 'third sex.'
The line of questioning the children adopt is, as you would expect, startlingly innocent. They ask questions such as: "How does AIDS get into your body?" and "How come they want to have sex with each other?"
The film was made during the XVI International AIDS Conference in Toronto in 2006 when the two girls accompanied their parents to the world's foremost gathering on issues related to AIDS.
Critics of the film say that the girls are too young to understand the content of their subject, while others point out that the film is more suitable for teenagers and young adults rather than kids.
However the unorthodoxy of the movie has also generated support. Richard Horton, editor-in-chief of the influential medical journal, The Lancet, said it was "a wonderful film" and "a brilliant way to convey important messages".
