YouTube Awards voting closes

It's your last chance to vote in the 2007 YouTube Video Awards today. There are 12 categories: Comedy, Inspirational, Creative, Commentary, Adorable, Music, Eyewitness, Instructional, Short Film, Sports, Series and Politics. Each category contains six contenders. Among the videos are footage of a cat playing a piano and a satirical send-up of illusionist David Blaine. In the Music category you'll also find the enormously irritating yet strangely compelling Chocolate Rain by Tay Zonday. However, the videos are very much US-orientated and UK audiences might be a little perplexed by some of the entries in the Comedy category (simply because they just aren't that funny). "As you might imagine, whittling down any category to six videos was a gargantuan task and already we'll say we're sorry to the hundreds/thousands of deserving content creators who didn't get nominated," the YouTube team wrote on the awards blog.
