Cult sweet shop goes online

If you're a fan of kola cubes, rhubarb and custard and sherbet lemons then you will now be able to indulge your sweet tooth online.

Mr Humbug

Mr Humbug, a sweet shop based in London's Greenwich market, has launched a website offering deliveries to anywhere in the UK mainland.

The site offers those with a sweet tooth many old favourites such as strawberry bon-bons, wine gums, pear drops and sherbet lemons.

Online shoppers will initially be able to get 10 per cent off the top 10 best-selling varieties.

Co-founder David Fireman said: "Our Greenwich market location has brought lots of custom from tourists, who are sadly unable to come to us on a regular basis.

"It is this group that have asked us time and time again to set up an online shop, and now that we have we'll be able to cater for them and a whole new raft of sweet eaters," he continued.

The site also contains information for those with restricted diets, such as which sweets are suitable for diabetics and vegetarians. Delivery costs £3.95.
