Get new Coldplay track online

The first track from Coldplay's new album will be made available to download for free at 1215GMT today.

Violet Hill will be available to download for one week from Coldplay's website. The single goes on sale officially on 6 May.

The new album, Viva La Vida, will go on sale on 16 June. The band will play concerts at Brixton Academy on that day and at New York's Madison Square Gardens a week later.

Details of how to get tickets for the gigs will be made available on the band's website in the near future. Fans have been asked not to contact the venues directly.
