Vodafone changes mobile web deals

Vodafone has announced unlimited access to the web via mobile phones as part of a new pricing strategy.

Mobile phone

Vodafone is to offer unlimited access to the internet on mobile phones as part of a new price plan announced today.

The company said that pay-monthly customers will no longer need to buy an additional internet bundle for £7.50, but instead every plan will automatically include internet access.

Price plans start from £25 and customers who select a £40 or higher price plan will also, for the first time, have the choice of unlimited texts, unlimited landline calls or unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls.

Vodafone said the move reflects the popularity of websites such as Facebook and eBay. It launched its Mobile Internet (MBI) service last summer.

Facebook is the most searched-for and most visited site on the Vodafone Mobile Internet service, according to the company.
