Google expands Translate tool

Translating text or entire web pages from Swedish, Polish or Hindi is now an option with Google's Translate service.

Google Translate will enable you to convert entire webpages from one language to another

Google has added 10 new languages to its online translation tool.

You will now be able to convert snippets of text or entire web pages to or from languages including Croatian, Czech, Danish, Finnish, Hindi, Polish and Swedish.

The new additions take the total number of languages supported by Google Translate to 23.

Google acknowledged that the system might not be perfect but as with all Google products it is constantly being revised and tweaked.

"While our system is quite good, we know it's not perfect. Machine translation is a hard problem, but it plays an important role in helping people access content they might otherwise be unable to read. We’re constantly working to improve the quality," Jimmy Chin, product manager at Google said.

Google also offers an embedded tool for website owners that lets visitors translate the site into other languages.
