As the curtain comes down on the 61st Cannes Film Festival this weekend, cinema buffs are busy predicting this year's winner of the prestigious Palm Dog award.
The Palm Dog, now in its eight year, is an annual award for the best canine performance of the film festival.
The gong, or dog collar in this case, for top dog will be announced later on today and you can keep up to date on all the news on the Palm Dog website.
Although performances by canines have been in short supply in this year's festival, the clear four-legged favourite for the prize is the dog featured planting a kiss on Julianne Moore's face in the opening sequence of the Palm d'Or contender Blindness.
Other films in contention for the Palm d'Or include a biopic of Che Guevara by director Steven Soderbergh and Changeling a mystery film from actor turned director Clint Eastwood.
The official Cannes film festival website has all the latest news on the festival as well as pictures of actors and directors gathered at the event in the south of France.
