Gordon Ramsay cooks up game

Gordon Ramsay is set to be released from the kitchen and into the hands of millions of gamers with the announcement that the TV show Hell's Kitchen is to be turned into a video game.

The chef, who is as famous for his fast-paced cooking as he is for his colourful language, will get a digital makeover in a game to be released in September.

The game will recreate the high octane atmosphere in Ramsay's kitchen and it will be released across several platforms.

Throughout the game Ramsay will be overseeing his kitchen minions as they carry out three culinary tasks: preparation, cooking and service.

Afterwards Ramsay will judge the merits of each effort. Top chefs can also earn stars similar to the way they are handed out in the non-digital world.

However, Ramsay will have the opportunity to shut down kitchens if they fail to live up to his standards.
