Mozilla has issued an update for the Firefox 3 browser, which was launched just over a month ago.
Firefox 3.0.1 fixes three critical security vulnerabilities, improves stability and "resolves a handful of other small bugs", according to Mozilla.
Mozilla also recently issued an update for Firefox 2 and some of the issues fixed in that patch relate to problems resolved in Firefox 3.0.1.
"Security improvements in Firefox 3 mean that it's not vulnerable to some of the Firefox 2 variants of the command-line multiple tab exploit but it can still be compromised by combining the attack with a script injection flaw," Mozilla said on its website.
Another flaw fixed in the update only puts users of the Mac OS at risk. The non-security issues, according to Mozilla, involve the updating of its phishing website blacklist and a
problem with printing selections from a page.
