Ex-wife loses YouTube case

A divorce case in the US has been settled after a judge ruled that a woman's posting of videos on YouTube constituted spousal abuse.

Web User: Husband felt \'violated\' by wifes tell-all YouTube videos

Tricia Walsh Smith has until 21 August to move out of her husband's New York apartment after a court gave the go ahead to the couple's divorce.

Ms Walsh Smith shot to fame after posting videos of herself talking about divorce proceedings on YouTube.

However, New York State Supreme Court Judge Harold Beeler said that the videos constituted spousal abuse.

The judge called it a "calculated and callous campaign to embarrass and humiliate her husband and his daughters".

Ms Walsh Smith will receive $50,000 (about £25,000) immediately and a further $700,000 (£350,000) as promised in a prenuptial agreement signed before the couple married in 1999.
